Just in time for the 15th Anniversary of The Tarot Guild (Oct. 31st), we've launched the *New Website! ....We are just in the preliminary setup stages, but most of the Features of the website are all set to go! ...and folks can start joining the website, which is FREE to Join!
You can "hang out" and chat / message with other Tarot Enthusiasts, Students and Professionals. Discuss your favorite Tarot Topics, share information, get advice, learn Tarot (and Numerology), network and MORE!
We're coming up on the 10th Anniversary of our very first Tarot Guild website, which was built in 2009 and officially launched on January 20th, 2010! .......This original website was built on the NING platform, which is for creating social-networking community websites. We migrated off of Ning, on to WordPress and Facebook after a year or two.
The Servers our old Guild website was on crashed earlier this year (after 10 years), so we had to build a new one anyway, and we decided an Upgrade was in order! We decided to go back to our roots and launch the new site on Ning, once again! They have come a LONG way in 10 years, and there are Amazing Features!
Every Member gets their own Profile Page ....with a customizable Cover Image. Everything you do on the website appears on your "My Page". You have tabs there for: Activity Feed - Blog Posts - Discussions - Events - Groups - Friends - Comment Wall - About
You can become "Friends" with other members, and then also "Private Message" them. There is also "Live Chat" on the website (lower-right on computers - click to expand). There are "Forums" to discuss your favorite Tarot Topics. You can Reply to other members' posts and start your own discussion strings!
There is an "Activity Feed" on your "My Page" that shows your activity, but also one on the "Main Page" of the website, that shows ALL Activity on the site. "Groups" can also be created around any Topic. There are "Events" as well, to let you know about Classes, Workshops, Radio Shows, Tarot Guild Events, as well as other Events happening in the Tarot Community.
It truly is: Facebook for TAROT! .....Our TG Facebook Group is growing, and currently has over 5,300 members, but Facebook has changed over the years, and public opinion about it has too. Not everyone is a Fan these days, and you are at the mercy of The FB Gods - You are locked in to their "look", they can change functionality, change the setup, even delete your group!
.....Here on the new Tarot Guild website we have all the features found on Facebook, but we have full control! ....and here you are free of any of the negative aspects of being on Facebook, as well as here it's ALL Tarot, ALL the Time!
