Dax's Daily Dose of Tarot & Numerology
The Card of The Day & Numerology for January 10th, 2021
Our Card of The Day (COTD) is The Queen of Swords! ....It's a Queen Weekend! ...with the Queen of Pentacles being the COTD earlier. The Queens are associated with The Master Teacher / Master Healer Number 33.
While we were focused on Nuturing and Practicality earlier, The Queen of Swords asks us to take an Analytical Approach now. In fact, the DAY is the 1-Energy (10 = 1 + 0 = 1), and the DATE is the 7-Energy.
One and Seven are part of the sub-set of Numbers in Numerology, called: The Mind Numbers! ...So this fits perfecty with the COTD!
The Queen of Swords is Courageous and Intelligent, made Wise through suffering and loss. In fact, she is often thought of as The Widow, and this Card can come up with the recent passing of a spouse or very close loved one.
She is skilled at political affairs, playing off rival factions against each other. She is Analytical and Independent.
In the traditional Waite/Smith Deck version of the Card (shown here from the Radiant Deck), the Queen sits on a stone throne, with her profile towards us. She faces to our right, towards the Future, with an open left hand outstretched.
She appears in front of Cloudy Skies, representing a difficult time. It's windy as well, and indicator of change, as shown by the trees in the distance. The River of Life passes behind her.
A Single Bird flies against a Blue Sky, representing Freedom and the Element of Air. The Blue color brings tranquility and serenity to a difficult time, along with Wisdom, the hallmark of The Queen of Swords...
Her Cape shows the same blue and puffy-cloud sky. Her dress is White, showing purity of thought. Around her left wrist is a Victorian tassel which is a symbol of a widow.
The ground under her throne is Yellow, showing that her foundation is Optimism, even in the face of bad or unhappy times, and difficulties.
Her throne is decorated with a cherub, representing the Queen’s softer side, and butterflies representing transformation. Butterflies also appear on her golden crown. She holds a single, two-edged sword in her right hand, the side of the critical mind. Swords are thoughts and ideas.
She holds the Sword straight up. She has mental clarity, seeks Truth, and leads with her head instead of her heart.
Bright Blessings, and Happy New Year!
